CI 3247 - Amor Fati is a musical performance based on the reworking of scraps into new compositional material. The work originates from the recovery of 7 tape cassettes found on a ship stranded on the coast of Pellestrina, an island in the Venetian lagoon. The tapes, damaged by the salt, play the tracks in a distorted way. The performance consists of creating a new composition using only the recordings from the cassettes as the starting material, which, through resampling and chains of effects, are transformed into new sound environments.
